This is a very readable and excellent book. I have suffered from binge eating for years, since my teens and I am now in my forties. I have constantly strived to have a perfect body and have obsessively read numerous books and tried many different eating plans in order to achieve this. None have ever worked because I just feel so deprived and every time I just feel more of a failure. This book has opened my eyes! I really understand now what is going on, which I think is half the battle. I feel I can now give myself permission to enjoy life without constantly worrying about food, what a relief. It all makes perfect sense. Once you release yourself from ridiculous expectations, life just becomes so much happier. I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who just longs to be free from the bind of binge eating and food obsession.

I’ve suffered for 25years and this is the first book that has offered me hope. It’s still very early days for me yet but I will continue to read and re read this book (I finished it cover to cover in 2days)
As I felt like it was written for me.
It’s been a week since I last binged and although that won’t seem long to some, for me I hadn’t been able to stop for longer than 3 days with previous attempts. This is the first time ever...and when I say ever I mean that I ever remember because I developed my eating disorder as a child so I’ve never known ‘normal’. But it’s the first time that I’ve ever felt in control around food.

Suffered and come through the other side of an eating disorder you’ll never understand just what it does to your brain and your’s only now this past week that I’m having all these light bulb moments that are making me realise just how bad it was...I can only see that now that I feel so good and in control. Every day I wake up and feel so emotional because I know that daily control is losing it’s grip everyday and I’m really truly starting to feel comfortable being me. If I feel that after a week I can’t wait to see how I feel in a month, 3 months, 6months. This is the first glimpse of hope I’ve had in being able to live not just a normal life but a happy and fulfilled life. I can’t thank this lady enough for writing such a life changing book!

I will come back and update but if you’re like me and hesitating on wasting your time on another self help book then just do it, this may well be the last one you ever need to buy. I know a lot of people say this but I’m not one to review things, but this I felt was 100% worth it!

I'd give this 10 stars if I could. Only a couple of weeks in but it stopped my evening binges almost overnight - after 40 years! Great book.

Fantastic book with so many great practical ways to become binge free. The Binge Code tells you that you are perfectly normal and how to treat your body well so you don't experience binge urges any more (all statements are backed by science, research and experiments which I love!). Much respect to Alison Kerr for her work, being a former binger/bulimic herself.
I recommend this book to my clients who have binges and cravings (eating disorders) and they respond amazingly! They experience the lessening of the urges and naturally the weight begins to drop off. Highly recommend!

Wow, everyone who spent years dieting or bingeing on food should read this book! An excellent toolbox for overcoming binge eating and refusing to give into binge urges. Some great, simple techniques that help instantly. Highly recommended!

I bought this book as I was desperate for some kind of help with my binge eating disorder. Although I have read several self-help books on the subject before, this one is different as it goes into a lot more depth. Whereas other books just seem to touch on a few of the issues, each of the ‘binge traps’ are fully explained and it really seemed as if the author knew how I felt. I have only just started the programme but I feel very positive about it. I think the only thing that is missing is some advice on how to deal with trying not to binge when you have a family to cook for, as I find cooking for my children and preparing their snacks quite challenging. Overall though, I would definitely recommend this book!

This is a very readable, sound and sensible book written by someone who clearly has first-hand experience of the binge eating phenomena. The book makes no claims for a 'quick fix' but does offer compassionate guidance that is really useful. I refer to the book as my 'little ZEN10 guide' and I'm looking forward to practicing the suggested techniques over the coming months.

I have spent nearly 30 years battling with bingeing and being totally miserable about food and my body despite being slim for the duration. I have finished the book and joined the facebook support group and am feeling so positive about the future. There totally is a way out. The biggest thing I've learnt is that you just have to keep trying. You will have slip ups but being on the support group you really realise that everyone has them and it's a normal part of recovery. I recommend this book very highly, it's not a one time only read so keep it near you and keep reading snippets to help.
